Bible Teachers

Mr. R. Heath Robertson

Mr. R. Heath Robertson

Mr. Robertson received his BA in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute where he completed the Honors Program for Semitic Languages. He has completed his MA in Biblical and Theological Studies with an emphasis in Exegetical studies at Western Seminary where he received the Honors Award for Old Testament Exegesis. He is ACSI certified.

Mr. Robertson enjoys teaching Bible at Enlightium Academy, where he started working in the spring of 2015. He enjoys assisting students in thoughtful theological study and application. He also acts as EA’s School Chaplain and maintains EA’s video series “Enlightium Theology in Action”.

Mrs. Adel Aranka Nemes

Mrs. Adel Aranka Nemes

Mrs. Nemes received her BA in Theology and the Hungarian Language. She then obtained her Master’s in Divinity with an emphasis on Church History at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She has her PhD(c) in Renaissance History from the Jozsef Attila University in Szeged, Hungary.

Mrs. Nemes has been teaching since 1999 and served as a traveling pastor from 2006 to 2012. She started teaching at Enlightium Academy in 2013, and is currently the Bronze Program Coordinator. She enjoys interacting with students, bringing them closer to Jesus, and sending Bible candies - Bible-based encouragements and thoughts. Mrs. Nemes is blessed every day by the encouragements which she receives from students. She believes the most valuable gift which parents can give their children is the knowledge of God, and she is grateful to work alongside parents in bringing their children closer to God.

Ms. Svetlana Fenina

Ms. Svetlana Fenina

Ms. Fenina received her BS in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida and is ACSI Certified.

Ms. Fenina has been substitute teaching in public elementary and middle schools since 2012 and has been teaching at Enlightium Academy since 2015. She teaches Bible, History, English, and elementary electives and is the primary school counselor. Ms. Fenina believes that education with Christian values is a doorway to a flourishing life.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

English Teachers

Mrs. Olga Shpak Dunn

Mrs. Olga Shpak Dunn

Mrs. Dunn received her BA in Linguistics and her Music minor from the University of Washington in Seattle. She is ACSI certified.

Mrs. Dunn began her teaching career in 2009 by teaching Music Theory at Unison Music School, and has been teaching middle school English, Music, and high school electives at Enlightium Academy since 2014. Mrs. Dunn enjoys helping students enrich their lives through writing and music.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are -- yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Ms. Serenity Henderson

Ms. Serenity Henderson

Ms. Henderson received her BA in English from Washington State University and is Washington State certified and ACSI certified.

Ms. Henderson started teaching 9-12th grade English at Enlightium Academy in April 2015. She enjoys helping students understand difficult concepts in English, and she enjoys challenging them to give and to be their best.

Mrs. Chelsea Macy

Mrs. Chelsea Macy

Mrs. Macy received her BA in Communication Disorders and her MA in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is Washington State certified.

Mrs. Macy started teaching in 2015 at Capital City Lighthouse Charter School in Arkansas. After moving to Washington in 2016, she began teaching at Enlightium Academy. Mrs. Macy teaches English and is a Counselor Liaison/Assistant who communicates between counselors and teachers. Mrs. Macy enjoys teaching creative writing skills while helping students overcome struggles in English.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Ms. Angela Payne

Ms. Angela Payne

Ms. Payne has received a BA in Linguistics and a BA in Spanish from Western Washington University. She is TESOL certified.

Ms. Payne has been teaching English in language schools and companies in Mexico since 2015. She began working at Enlightium Academy in November 2016 as an English Teacher’s Assistant. Ms. Payne's favorite part of teaching is sparking student interest in languages and encouraging students’ desire to continue learning.

Math Teachers

Mrs. Mandee J. Mittler

Mrs. Mandee J. Mittler

Mrs. Mittler received her BA in K-8 education from Eastern Washington University with a major in Science and a minor in Mathematics. She is Washington State certified.

Mrs. Mittler has been teaching since 2006. She has taught Math in Carrington College’s radiology program, coached public school Math competitions for 3 years, and taught in various private schools. She has been at Enlightium Academy since 2015. Mrs. Mittler works with all age groups in Math and other elementary courses. She believes that even if a mistake has occurred, a student can learn from it, make better choices, and understand the concept better once the mistake has been fixed. Since not all students learn the same way, she is willing to try new ways to teach a lesson for any student that needs it.

Mr. Thomas Lambert

Mr. Thomas Lambert

Mr. Lambert received his BS in Mathematics with a minor in Spanish from William Carey University. He is Mississippi State and ACSI Certified.

Mr. Lambert has been teaching Mathematics and Spanish in public schools since 2011 and joined Enlightium Academy in 2015.

Mr. Lambert teaches high school Math and Spanish at Enlightium. He enjoys seeing students find success in their math classes, regardless of skill level, and develop a love for mathematics.

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

Mr. Colten Lindberg

Mr. Colten Lindberg

Mr. Lindberg received his BA in Biblical Studies with an Interdisciplinary in Education from Moody Bible Institute in May of 2016. Mr. Lindberg is also ACSI certified in Bible.

Before teaching at Enlightium Academy, Mr. Lindberg student-taught at North West Christian Academy in Spokane, WA where he taught Romans, Apologetics, and Old Testament Survey. Soon after, Mr. Lindberg joined the EA team during the fall of 2015 where he continued teaching Bible. Furthermore, given his natural ability and tutoring experience in math, Mr. Lindberg has since assumed the role of teaching Algebra I and Algebra II.

Mr. Lindberg seeks to inspire his students to always be taking their next step, whatever that might be. By taking that next step, students will be pushed to take risks that will ultimately stretch them so that they may become independent, driven and courage-filled stewards of their own education and faith journey.

History Teachers

Mr. Mike Kuldayev

Mr. Mike Kuldayev

Mr. Kuldayev received a BA in History and Biblical Studies from the University of Fresno Pacific and an MA degree from University of Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary. He is ACSI certified.

Mr. Kuldayev has been teaching Bible and History in private schools since 2011, and he began teaching at Enlightium Academy in 2014. He teaches Bible and History, and enjoys seeing students achieve their highest potential.

Mr. BJ Condrey

Mr. BJ Condrey

Mr. Condrey received a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Psychology from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He then received his MA in Philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is ACSI certified.

Mr. Condrey teaches History, college planner, and Psychology courses at Enlightium Academy where he began working in January of 2016. He has taught philosophy at various colleges and universities since 2014. His passion is to challenge young people in the way they think and in the assumptions they hold in order to help them construct a more responsible worldview.

Mr. Branden Preedy

Mr. Branden Preedy

Mr. Preedy has been in Christian education and ministry since 2014, serving as a youth pastor and facilitator for adult education. Mr. Preedy joined the Enlightium Academy faculty in 2016. Mr. Preedy loves connecting students with an education that transforms not only their minds, but also their hearts through a thoroughly Christian worldview.

Mr. Preedy is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity in Christian Education from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Science Teachers

Mrs. Kathleen Thurman

Mrs. Kathleen Thurman

Mrs. Thurman received her BS in Biology from Washington State University and is Washington State certified and ACSI certified.

Mrs. Thurman has been teaching Science in private schools since 2013, and teaches junior and senior high Science classes at Enlightium Academy. Mrs. Thurman's favorite part of teaching is working one-on-one with students and helping them discover the wonders of God's creation.

Mr. Mark Wolter

Mr. Mark Wolter

Mark Wolter attended the University of Gonzaga where he studied Electrical Engineering and business.

Mark also has an extensive background in numismatics, literature, mathematics, and music. He joined the Enlightium team in 2015 and has taught a range of subjects including English, History, Science, Bible, and Math. He believes mistakes to be essential in a student’s journey to improvement and success and dislikes the stigma that often surrounds them. “Embrace the process of growth and you will flourish” is one of the many maxims that he tries to hold himself to.

When not working, Mark can be found in his home either composing music, reading, writing, playing with his 3 children, or out on the town where he often does live DJ performances.

Mr. Will Mead

Mr. Will Mead

Mr. Mead earned his B.S. in Biology from Eastern Washington University, where he studied immunology and the human microbiome. He previously taught at El Camino Academia in Bogota, Colombia.

Mr. Mead joined Enlightium in 2017 teaching science and mathematics. He enjoys helping students reveal God’s creative power through the study of the natural order.

Ms. Luana Litoshyk

Ms. Luana Litoshyk

Ms. Litoshyk received her Bachelors of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University, and is pursuing further education in the field with the goal of attaining a doctorate degree. She has a wide range of experience working with people of all ages and teaching on various topics. Currently, she teaches senior high Science at Enlightium.

What Ms. Litoshyk enjoys most about teaching can be summarized with what a Latin philosopher once said, "Docendo discimus," meaning "By teaching I learn." Teaching allows her to bask in the world of education, where she is also the recipient.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Electives Teachers

Mr. William Olson

Mr. William Olson

Mr. Olson received a BA in History and Geography, with a minor in Economics from Central Washington University. He then completed the Teaching Certification Program at Central Washington, and later received an AA degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at ITT Technical Institute. He is Washington State certified as a Residency Teacher, with endorsements in Elementary and in Secondary History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science.

Mr. Olson has been teaching in private and public schools and colleges since 1987, and now teaches classes dealing with business, engineering, and technology at Enlightium Academy. He finds that helping students achieve success is very rewarding! He possesses both industry and classroom experience in the fields of technology, software development, and robotics. This, combined with Enlightium’s curriculum, creates an exciting and engaging experience for students. The challenging pace of innovation keeps courseware relevant and timely. Mr. Olson’s students become comfortable and knowledgeable of these trends and skills with hands-on experiences. This is accomplished with a variety of exercises and projects that build a level of mastery and competence - all of which is enjoyable and fun!

Mrs. Karina Kovalova

Mrs. Karina Kovalova

Mrs. Karina Kovalova received her MA in Linguistics in 2007 from CSTU, Ukraine. During university years she aimed at bilingual education and foreign language pedagogy, which includes the French and English languages. She is currently pursuing further education in the field of teaching second language. She has experience in educating students of different ages and language levels. Mrs. Kovalova teaches French at Enlightium Academy.

Mrs. Kovalova enjoys teaching and she always looks for an individual approach to improve her students' oral comprehension and communicative skills in foreign languages. Her main goal is to help students see the beauty of the French language and enrich their personalities by learning the French culture.

Besides learning foreign languages, she enjoys playing piano, singing in the church choir, playing tennis and scrapbooking.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
