Valentin Solodyankin has been in a private Christian education since 2007. He attended a Christian school during his high school years, and then studied at Whitworth University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and theology and, upon graduating, he taught Bible, history, and music at a private school. Believing that God has called him to children’s ministry, Valentin has traveled to Ukraine, Russia, and Mexico for summer mission trips. At Enlightium Academy, Valentin is an Academic Consultant and works collaboratively with the EA School Chaplain on ministering to EA students via social platform.

Bryan holds a degree in Information Processing. He creates, manages, and updates processes which accurately report student progress. Additionally, he uses process-building and workflow automation to make progress tracking informative and precise.

Bryan enjoys learning new skills or crafts and applying them in creative and innovative ways. He also enjoys running, playing ping pong, and playing basketball with his family. While in college, Bryan spent time tutoring his classmates. He enjoys sharing knowledge, as well as learning from others.

Mrs. Karina Kovalova received her MA in Linguistics in 2007 from CSTU, Ukraine. During her years at university, she aimed at bilingual education and foreign language pedagogy, which includes the French and English languages. Currently she is pursuing further education in the field of teaching a second language. She is CELTA certified and has experience in educating students of different ages and language levels. Mrs. Kovalova teaches French at Enlightium Academy.

Mrs. Kovalova enjoys teaching and finds an individual approach to improve her students' oral comprehension and communicative skills in foreign languages. Her main goal is to help students see the beauty of the French language and enrich their cultural awareness and personality through learning the French culture.

Mrs. Burke received her B.S. in secondary education for English through Grand Canyon University. She is Washington State certified.

 

Mrs. Burke completed her student teaching at a local private Christian school and was a  substitute teacher at public schools prior to joining the Enlightium Academy team in 2018. She enjoys finding new ways to help students learn and encouraging them to always do their best.

Olesia joined Enlightium in 2018 to assist the K-8 counseling team and is now serving as the Director of Admissions. She received her Diploma of Bible Educator at International Christian College in 2003 and her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Music at Gonzaga University in 2006. She worked at a local private Christian school as a K-8th grade instructor and later as an Assistant Administrator. She is ACSI Certified. 

Olesia grew up in the church and from an early age developed a love for the Lord while her biological father served as a missionary and her mother supported him by taking care of a growing family. She was privileged to take part in many Christian seminars and workshops, deepening her knowledge of the Lord and Christian education while her adoptive parents pursued their dream of bringing Christian education first to the Slavic people, and later to students from all races across the USA and around the world.

Family is very important to Olesia. With her husband they are instilling a biblical foundation in their three children as they strive to serve the Lord in the home, at church, and the workplace. 

Ms. Benedict graduated with a Master’s of Science degree in School Counseling in 2019. During her time there, she became invested in working with high school students on social-emotional issues, particularly anxiety, and post-secondary planning. She began working with Enlightium Academy in 2019. She is state and ACSI-certified.

Ms. Benedict graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor’s degree majoring in Business Management and minoring in English. While she was in the business world, she began volunteering with the youth program at her church and teaching Junior Achievement classes in local elementary schools. This fostered her passion for encouraging and working with students and led her to attend Eastern Washington University. She believes in fostering nurturing, encouraging relationships with students and parents and loves seeing students grow through cooperation and learning self-advocacy.

In her free time, Ms. Benedict loves taking long walks with Hank, her golden retriever, reading, spending time with her friends and family, writing, baking, and trying new foods and recipes.

Mr. Rothe received his Master’s in Education from Grand Canyon University in 2023. He has taught 9th and 8th grade English for Enlightium Academy. Mr. Rothe is passionate about teaching students and believes that each student is entitled to a quality education. Mr. Rothe is a licensed teacher in Washington State and is English and ACSI certified.

When he is not teaching or advising for Enlightium Academy, he coaches football and track and field for local Spokane high schools. When he is not collaborating with peers and students, he is spending time with his wife, son, and dog.

Ms. DePace graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, Washington. She began teaching at Enlightium Academy in 2018 in the Elementary department and transitioned to being the administrative assistant in 2022. She has a passion for Christian education and creating the best possible experience for families, students, and employees. 

Ms. DePace has been a collegiate women’s lacrosse coach since 2018. She also prioritizes her church family and volunteers as a worship leader, a leader in children’s ministry, and also as a youth leader where she gets to disciple a small group of high school girls.

Keriamber has homeschooled her four children since 2011. She is passionate about empowering students and families to take ownership of their educational choices. She is fully committed to God’s calling to raise up children to discover their passions as curious and resourceful life-long learners. She considers her work with prospective and current Enlightium families a ministry and a joy.

Keriamber, along with her children and two dogs, are working their way through the Texas State Park trails with hopes to visit more National Parks. Keriamber enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and rock climbing, as well as reading, cooking, and game nights with friends. Her family is active in their local homeschool community and church.

Noah joined the Enlightium Academy Admissions Department in 2022. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2020 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business. Mr. Phalen is ACSI cerified.

Noah serves at his church by playing piano on the worship team. He has a passion for music and theatre, and he loves watching sports and playing video games in his free time. Growing up in Chicago, he’s a huge fan of the White Sox, Bears, and Bulls. Noah and his wife, Audren, were married in June of 2023.

Brenton Sconce has been with Enlightium since 2020. He received his B.A. in Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute. He is currently working towards his MBA from Eastern Washington University. 

Brenton enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. He enjoys reading, playing basketball, hiking, and going to the movies.

Ms. Culp received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from College Misericordia in Dallas, Pennsylvania. She also earned a master’s degree in Education with a Concentration in Online Learning from American Public University System. Ms. Culp has been teaching since 2006, with the majority of those years being in the online environment. She enjoys working with students on an individual basis and helping each student achieve their personal best. Ms. Culp is ACSI and state certified.

Ms. Culp spends most of her free time with family and friends. She believes family is important and takes every opportunity to visit with them. Ms. Culp also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and crocheting. Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, Ms. Culp currently resides in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Will Mead graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from Eastern Washington University and holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University. Before joining Enlightium, he worked in local private Christian schools and, earlier in his career, as a scientist in a clinical laboratory.

Will joined Enlightium as a science teacher in 2017, then served in administration before entering his current role as K-12 Principal. He is certified by ACSI.

Will and his wife married in 2006 and have four children. In his free time, Will enjoys reading works of science and philosophy, playing chess, and watching musical theatre.

Mrs. Hinton studied Elementary Education at Delta State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Lesley University. She is ACSI certified.

Mrs. Hinton discovered a passion for teaching while volunteering at summer Bible school at church. She enjoys reading and camping at state parks across the nation.

Mrs. Baker attended William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she received her bachelor's degree with an emphasis in biology and psychology as well as her master’s degree in education. She is certified through the states of Mississippi and Alabama in English, science, and elementary education, and has her administrative certification. She has taught middle school English since 2011 and has taught on the college level. Before coming to Enlightium, Mrs. Baker was most recently an academic success coach through a federally-funded grant program at Pearl River Community College. Mrs. Baker is ACSI certified.

Mrs. Baker enjoys traveling with her husband and two boys to watch Major League Baseball games as well as seeing the world. She enjoys singing in her church’s choir, teaching kids’ choir, volunteering in the community, and being a servant in any way possible. She believes that you have to wake up each day with a walk with God to make sure your day starts with the best foot forward.

Her favorite quote is, “Once a task has begun, never leave it until it’s done. Be the labor great or small, finish it well once and for all.”

Ms. Lawellin received a Masters in Education specializing in School Counseling from John Brown University in 2021. For her undergraduate education, Ms. Lawellin graduated with a BS in Psychology, minoring in Addiction Studies/Treatment and Cognitive Neuroscience. Before joining Enlightium Academy’s Alliance Program team, and after years of working in Young Life Ministries, she was on the Community Outreach team for a counseling center in Arkansas where she facilitated Social/Emotional Learning workshops for students, teachers, and parents. She also worked as a School-Based Behavioral Specialist for the counseling center. Ms. Lawellin is ACSI certified.

Ms. Lawellin spends most of her time outside as a self-proclaimed ornithologist, with her cat Bandura (named after her favorite psychologist). She collects antiques and knows every single word to at least eight different Broadway musicals. She has coached volleyball and track for many years, but she enjoys her slower hobbies nowadays. 

Mrs. Broussard graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2009 with a BA in Political Science/Pre-Law, and went on to study Industrial and Organizational Psychology until 2011. In 2021, Mrs. Broussard received her MS degree from Western Governors University in Curriculum and Instruction. She is certified to teach Spanish to grades K-12 and Social Studies to grades 6-12. Mrs. Broussard is ACSI-certified.

Mrs. Broussard has been in the education field. She enjoys singing, traveling, and learning about other languages and cultures along the way. Mrs. Broussard’s passions are her relationship with God, family and her church family.

Mr. Lindberg received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies with an Interdisciplinary in Education from Moody Bible Institute in 2016. Mr. Lindberg is ACSI certified.

Mr. Lindberg has been with the Enlightium team since 2015 working first as a high school Bible and mathematics teacher. He now serves as the Student Mentor, working with a diverse group of students to help them reach their practical academic goals. Coordinating student support between teachers, counselors, and parents, Mr. Lindberg seeks to compassionately equip students to be independent and driven stewards of their education.
