Mrs. Kasun holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology degree from The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Teaching from George Fox University. She is a licensed teacher in the states of Montana and Kentucky and has taught multiple subjects in grades 3-12. She is currently working on becoming a National Board Certified Teacher for middle school English Language Arts. Mrs. Kasun is also a certified fitness instructor and is ACSI certified.

Mrs. Kasun resides in Montana with her husband, son, and twin grandchildren. She enjoys serving on the kids ministry team at her church, family time, fitness, horses, hiking, camping, and reading.

Mrs. Cook received her Master of Science in Early Childhood Education, Administration, and Leadership from Walden University. She has served as an educator and business owner for preschool and kindergarten-aged children. She most recently held a position as an administrator for a private Christian university. She considers herself a ‘higher education advocate’ who emphasizes the importance of access to quality education at every level.

Mrs. Cook is a wife and mother to a handsome son. She enjoys spending her free time trying new recipes, traveling with family, and exploring new cuisines at local restaurants.

Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Mrs. Holbrook's life is a beautiful tapestry woven with rich experiences and heartfelt passions. Back in 2016, she achieved the highest honors in her academic journey, a testament to her wholehearted dedication to a wide spectrum of business ventures, especially in the realm of Business Administration.

After her academic triumph, she proudly earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources from DeVry University. This was a turning point that led her down a path of starting her own business, assisting other small entrepreneurs, and diving into meaningful community service. Mrs. Holbrook poured her heart into volunteer work with her church's youth program, small group ministry, and media team, demonstrating her deep commitment to both professional excellence and the betterment of her community.

But beyond all this, Mrs. Holbrook's personal life is filled with moments of pure joy and cherished pastimes. She finds immense happiness in spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and finding solace in the pages of a good book. Her heart is warmed by the precious moments shared with her grandchildren and extended family. And let's not forget her love for traditions, which she shares through her delightful crafting and baking. She is also an active and valued member of her church community, where her faith and values shine brightly.

Ms. Kramer studied business administration at Furman University and earned a Masters in Teaching from Converse College. She worked in the world of banking and finance for ten years prior to discovering her love for teaching and has been teaching and tutoring since 2005.

Ms. Kramer enjoys traveling with her family and has been actively involved in her church’s children’s ministry for several years. She is passionate about helping her students reach their goals both in and out of the classroom. She enjoys running and exploring the beautiful parks and beaches in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.

Carla holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and was happy to join Enlightium Academy in 2023. She worked in the senior care industry for the last 10+ years as an Activities (or Program) Director in a wide variety of senior communities. She felt blessed to have the job of helping others enrich their lives, simply by creating opportunities for them to thrive. Mrs. Potter is ACSI certified. 

At Enlightium Academy, she feels blessed again in her work helping the Admissions and EA101 Team, where she assists new and returning families and students who choose to enrich their lives through quality, Christian-based, education and experiences.

Carla lives just outside of the city of Spokane, near Long Lake, in Nine Mile Falls with her husband and one really spoiled kitty! Outside of work, she enjoys activities that include boating, bike riding, golfing, fishing, scenic day trips…and shopping, of course!

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Moody Bible Institute Spokane in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with an Interdisciplinary in Intercultural Studies. She is ACSI certified.

Mrs. Johnson has been a member of the Enlightium team since 2017, teaching both middle and high school English. Her favorite teaching experiences are “light bulb” moments when a student grasps a challenging concept. She has a passion for mentoring and seeing students grow to reach their full potential both in Christ and in their studies. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her family, cross-stitching, and baking.

Alli Smith joined Enlightium in 2023 as a member of the Billing Department. She is driven by a desire to make homeschooling more affordable and accessible for families in a variety of situations. Shortly after joining Enlightium, Alli began focusing on streamlining the billing process for families using state vouchers, and she has played a key role in expanding Enlightium’s ability to accept state vouchers, so many more students can access quality Christian education tailored to their needs, while minimizing the financial impact on families.

Outside of work, Alli enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is also always seeking to know more about the world and the God who created it. 

Mrs. Burghart was born and raised in the Spokane area. Raised a small town country girl, she moved to the big city after graduating with a Bachelors in Communications from CWU. A few years later she married her college sweetheart. She has two children (one married and one in college) a cat, and a dog. She began teaching preschool when her children were in elementary school and has been teaching ever since. She received her Masters in Teaching and has private school teaching experience in Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She spent several years as both a long-term and permanent substitute teacher in a local school district. Mrs. Burghart is ACSI-certified.

In her spare time, Chandra enjoys hiking, walking, quilting, knitting, hand embroidery, reading, and cooking. Her favorite hike was when she and her family climbed Mt. St. Helens. She loves baseball, football, and basketball. You will find her cheering on the Mariners, Seahawks, and the Zags. Family is very important to Chandra, and she spends as much time with them as possible.

Chandra is passionate about teaching kids to be life-long learners and followers of Christ. She loves worshiping the Lord. She looks forward to meeting Enlightium families and helping them meet their academic and spiritual goals.

Dr. Lankford received his bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in 2015. He also holds a Master of Theology (2019) and PhD (2022) in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Dr. Lankford has taught theology at the secondary and university level and has a passion for teaching others to engage their culture with a firm, Christ-centered foundation. Dr. Lankford is ACSI-certified.

Dr. Lankford was born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee. He is the youngest of five children and has 18 nieces and nephews. Two weeks after his marriage to his wife Deanna in 2017, the couple moved to Aberdeen, Scotland so that Taylor could begin his graduate studies. After earning his doctorate, they moved from Scotland.

In 2020, they welcomed twin girls, Robin and Nieve, into the world. Dr. Lankford considers being a husband and parent the greatest (and most difficult) joy of his life.

Mrs. Machen has been serving in teaching ministries for several years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute. She is ACSI certified.

God has given Mrs. Machen a deep love for scripture and a desire to help others grow in their understanding and love of God’s Word. Her prayer for herself and her students is that the Holy Spirit will cultivate the fruits of the spirit in their lives and continually transform them into the image of Christ.

Mrs. Machen joined Enlightium Academy in 2018. She enjoys building relationships with students as a Teaching Assistant for the Bible Department.
