12th Grade Curriculum

Employing the latest multi-media techniques including graphics, games, and other activities, Enlightium Academy uses a 12th grade curriculum that fosters a rich learning environment. The Ignitia™ curriculum, which was created by Alpha Omega Publications (AOP), is based on a learner-centered model drawing from current educational research.


Students who first enroll at EA during their senior year are required to take at least four credits in order to receive a diploma; the student's counselor will assist in determining which courses need to be taken by the student.


12th Grade Bible: Christian Faith and Living

Packed with biblical wisdom and guidance, students enrolled in this course learn about themselves, their role as Christians, and the fundamentals of the Christian faith. They will explore their spiritual gifts, ministry, practical Christ-centered living, and values.

As young people approach adulthood, this course provides practical, bible-based lessons for developing godly character, maturing in spirituality, and choosing a Christian ministry. An exploration of the attributes of God, world religions, biblical literature, the Godhead, helps them build a firm foundation for their future as ministers of the Word of God in today's world. 12th Grade Language Arts: English IV

The last word in high school English instruction, English IV, which is designed for 12th grade Christian school students, not only solidifies the skills they have acquired through years of language study, but also introduces them to Brit Lit, classics including Beowulf and The Canterbury Tales, and the sonnets of Shakespeare. Students will also review word usage, sentence building, and the importance of effective communication in their personal and professional lives.

Refreshingly different, this final core English course wraps up all the disciplines of language for high school students. With an emphasis on core skills like reading comprehension, effective research and writing, oral communication, and grammar usage, this course also lets them dive deep into classic and Medieval literature with the works of Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Milton. Through the use of modern British magazines and newspaper articles, students will look at how the language is used today, including the media and digital communication.
