Founder & Executive Director
Elena V. Solodyankin has more than 30 years of experience in the field of education. She founded an online Christian school in 2003, which is now Enlightium Academy. Since then, she guided the development of seven brick and mortar private schools along the west coast within church communities.
Mrs. Solodyankin has spoken at numerous educational conferences about the need for personalized Christian education and how she applied it to raising her three biological and five adopted children. She holds an M.Ed. in K-12 Guidance & Counseling from Whitworth University and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Leadership at Gonzaga University. Elena is ACSI and state certified. Throughout her career, she has been devoted to preparing the next generation of godly leaders by making a difference in their hearts and minds.
Aleksandr Solodyankin graduated from Whitworth University Cum Laude with a B.A. double major in accounting and marketing and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He has worked in the education field since 2006 in the capacity as a math teacher, chief financial officer, and school manager.
He is a lifelong learner, passionate about helping others reach greater heights in all realms of life. A foundational principle of his is that each individual is made in the image of God, has intrinsic value, and God-given abilities, that to steward God’s creation well, must be further developed and used for God’s glory.
Irina Martin began her education career as a secondary English teacher in a traditional classroom after graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Pensacola Christian College in 2006. Three years later, she obtained her Master of Educational Administration degree and began working at Enlightium Academy.
Since joining Enlightium Academy in 2011, Irina has worked tirelessly on developing policies and structure for a fast-growing institution. In 2018, her focus shifted to the quality of instruction, curriculum development, and staffing.
She is a firm believer that all students are capable of succeeding in academics when given a clear presentation with adequate repetition and time to digest new information. Her chief goal is to assure that all of Enlightium's students are well prepared to succeed in higher education.
Thomas Lambert graduated from William Carey University with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Spanish. He taught Spanish and math for five years in public and private schools before coming to work for Enlightium Academy in 2015.Mr. Lambert also pastors a new church plant in Spokane, WA. He has been married for eight years and has a four-year-old son and 3 month old daughter. He loves outdoor activities like camping, playing disc golf, and making wooden toys in his workshop.
Thomas is a pastor of a local church in Spokane, WA. He has a love for traveling and international missions, participating in multiple short and long term trips, in a variety of different places. Thomas spends his free time creating wood toys in his shop and playing disc golf.
Spiritual Support Director
Heath Robertson received his BA in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute where he completed the Honors Program for Semitic Languages. He has completed his MA in Biblical and Theological Studies with an emphasis in Exegetical studies at Western Seminary where he received the Honors Award for Old Testament Exegesis. Mr. Robertson finds great enjoyment as a teacher and the Spiritual Support Director at EA as well as great fulfillment running in his free time.
Student Services Director
Since 2013, Andrey Karpov has been involved in varying parts of Enlightium Academy. He has spent a lot of this time working with students and parents to provide a better understanding of the Ignitia system and the progress of students through the coursework. He is currently leading the Progress Department and working with his team to develop new and better ways to help students succeed by keeping parents informed and by providing great service.
Andrey attended and graduated from a Christian school and is currently pursuing a Business Administration degree at Eastern Washington University. He is raising his children with his wife in the beautiful Inland Northwest. Andrey enjoys quiet moments over a cup of tea and on nature walks. He is also involved with a group of Christians that focuses on evangelism in his town.
Director of Admissions & PreK-8 Counseling
Marina Vagin has been working with Enlightium Academy since 2009. She has a degree in Business Management and is completing a degree in Social Services at Whitworth University. She worked tirelessly on developing the EA counselors' and admissions departments, and now is overseeing the registrar, admissions, and counselors’ departments and serving as the Middle School counselor for students in grades 7–8 in the Silver, Gold and Platinum packages. She loves working with parents and students and making a difference in people’s lives.
She is happily married to her husband and together they are raising their daughter. Mrs. Vagin teaches Sunday School at her church and is involved with the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program.
Director of Communications
Michael graduated from Eastern Washington University with his bachelors in Business Administration. He has worked at Enlightium Academy since 2015 as the Communications Director handling internal procedures, policies, and communications. Michael works on EA’s website development and maintenance. He is certified by ACSI.
Prior to attending college, Michael enlisted in the United States military in the field of cryptology, where he served on four continents. Michael has a love of learning and continually reads about any subject that interests him. He loves hiking and camping with his wife, daughters and dog in the great Northwest and plays the guitar, ukulele and the upright bass.
Director of Enrollment
Valentin Solodyankin has been in a private Christian education since 2007. He attended a Christian school during his high school years, and then studied at Whitworth University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and a minor in music and theology. He taught Bible, history, and music at a private school. Believing that God has called him to children’s ministry, Valentin has traveled to Ukraine, Russia, and Mexico for summer mission trips. At Enlightium Academy, Valentin is an Academic Consultant and works collaboratively with the EA School Chaplain on ministering to EA students via social platform.
Valentin is a family man who enjoys adventures. He has a lovely wife, daughter, and son whom he adores. He loves to learn, travel, and participate in outdoor activities and sports. "Enjoy life," is a motto he adopted from his father, and a motto he lives by. “We live in a beautiful world that God created and have so little time to see it all!”
