1 Credit (Enlightium) // 3 Credits (NNU)
The World and the West I is designed to delve students into a peripheral understanding of historical trends in socio-cultural and geopolitical settings of eastern and western cultures from ca. 600 B.C.—1550 C.E. Students will learn how to apply historical corroboration, evaluate primary evidence/documents, and make comprehensive evaluations of the historical framework. Students will also learn how to interpret human encounters through the lenses of a Christian worldview.
This course will benefit all who wish to expand their research abilities, learn how to synthesize information, and prepare for research-oriented courses in college.
To receive NNU—General Education requirements—credit, a student must earn a grade of C- or better. However, the student would still receive credit from Enlightium Academy if they pass the course.
