Introduce your students to the basics of network design with Network System Design. In this course, students learn network terminology and fundamentals, as well as how to identify the needs and goals of both customers and businesses. Students also learn to differentiate between various network classifications, such as LAN and WAN, and practice the high-level design principles of network architecture.
Students also engage in discussions about network management, security strategies, data protection, and switching routing protocols. Additional lesson topics in this CTE elective include assigning addresses to network components, subnets, routers, servers, and end-user computing systems.
