Louisiana’s individual tax reduction program is one of the best in the country. Parents can claim tax deductions for private school expenses up to $5,000 per student each year.

Benefits

  • The most practical expense to request a tax deduction for is the tuition, although fees, curriculum materials, and additional supplies may be eligible
  • Unlike many other states, there is no income limit for parents

Limitations

  • Student must be enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Student must be a resident of Louisiana
