Your student’s counselor will review your request along with the student records to make a decision about granting your student admittance to the Honors Program.

  • Students in grades 3–8 must score above 85% for their grade level on placement tests and display above-average performance on the previous school’s progress report
  • Students in grades 9–12 require a more meticulous evaluation of placement test results and a thorough transcript evaluation

Honor Student Courses

Enlightium’s honors courses in grades 3-12 are designed with a much more rigorous curriculum in order to challenge students beyond the limits of a standard course. The challenging nature of our Honors Program is designed to prepare students for more advanced and independent work. Honors coursework helps to build the critical thinking skills necessary for higher-level performance in college and in life.

Visa and Certification Status

Enlightium Academy is not an I-20 approved school as that certification requires a brick and mortar presence for F-1 foreign student attendance. International students who wish to learn English and other core and elective courses in grades 3-12 have a great opportunity to study them through Enlightium. We are an online school accredited by Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Enlightium is also affiliated with College Board for Advanced Placement (AP) courses and SAT college entrance testings which increases chances of college acceptance. Notably, we have a long track record in preparing international students for a better chance to obtain an F-1 or M-1 visa, which is required for college attendance in the US.

Co-Ops & Partnerships

Many private schools and churches struggle to provide certified teaching staff to support an accredited K-12 private school program. Understanding this problem, Enlightium serves our Co-op schools by providing access to a fully accredited curriculum and certified teachers for PreK-12 students. This frees up resources for Christian schools and churches, allowing them to expand their offerings to include a larger selection of options to their families. Enlightium also serves a number of boarding schools that desire to provide a Christ-centered education to their resident students. Enlightium is proud to partner with these Co-ops to set their students and families up for success.
