Enlightium Academy values projects in addition to regular lessons since it is an essential part of students showing mastery of the concepts being taught. Importantly, it allows students to express themselves and to be better prepared for post-high school life. In order to accomplish this, we have the following policy, as stated in our Enlightium Academy Family Handbook:
“Projects are essential in showcasing the student’s mastery in every subject. In order to receive credit for a course, the projects in a course must have an average of 60% or above.”
If, at the end of the first semester, your child’s average project score is below the 60% threshold in one or more of their classes, he/she is in danger of not receiving credit for the course. Please read further about what can be done to ensure that your student meets all of the requirements for each course.
Credit recovery courses are assigned to students who took a course with their previous school, but did not pass it. Credit recovery are also assigned to students who took non-accredited courses. By taking a credit recovery course, the student is able to test on different concepts and relearn only the material he/she does not know well and test out of the sections already grasped by the student.
