Detailed Course Description

Teach your students the basics of web programming and hosting with Ignitia New Applications. In addition to learning standard terms and techniques, students gain hands-on experience as they develop simple video games and mobile applications. As part of the coursework, students also create basic web pages and simple applications that employ coding, automation, interactivity, and other multimedia elements.

This six-unit course for grades 9-12 also gives students an understanding of the daily tasks involved in this type of computer-based work as they examine a typical workplace environment for web and distributed applications designers. This CTE elective also teaches students to identify the best strategies for keeping up-to-date with new and emerging Internet and application programming trends.
