AP English Language and Composition
AP English Language and Composition is a course designed to prepare students for the AP examination. Students are expected to read critically, think analytically, and communicate clearly both in writing and speech.
This course will enable students to properly evaluate an author’s language dynamics and poetic/prosaic compositions, as well as understand the relationship between the author’s goals and the reader’s perception. Upon completing this course, students are highly encouraged to take an Advanced Placement Exam to earn college credits. Due to the rigorous nature of this course, students enrolling will need to be highly disciplined and self-motivated. This course has been built around the practices published in the AP English Language and Composition Course and Exam Description.
