High School French I

An Ignitia World Language Course

Available to Grades 9-12

This engaging, year-long elective encourages students to expand their global awareness and digital literacy as it explores the language and the culture of the French. Students will build their proficiency in this world language by reading and listening to content-rich passages, studying sentence construction, and learning grammatical rules. They will study the parts of speech and proper word choice and tense. The main goal for students is to learn to speak French.

High School French II

An Ignitia World Language Course

Available to Grades 9-12
Prerequisite: French I

French II is an advanced two-semester elective that encourages students to further develop reading, writing, speaking proficiencies with adventure-themed lessons that include vocabulary, pronunciation, the parts of speech, sentence patterns, and reading comprehension. The course includes recordings of actual French speakers to strengthen students' communication skills.
