Mission Program

The Mission Program provides students with an opportunity to discover the essential values and skills necessary for living out their Christian faith vibrantly.

Mission Program

The Mission Program is uniquely purposed to develop students into holistic followers of Christ. This program is designed to provide students with the materials and tools for developing mind, heart, and hands for a lifelong Gospel-centered ministry.

Much of this track will focus on the meaning of the Gospel, discipleship, and evangelism in order to equip students for the ministry God has set before them—disciples of Christ who makes disciples for Christ. The Mission Program takes students on a journey to become wholehearted followers of Jesus, cultivating their love for Christ and His work in this present age. In order to ensure this track provides for the student holistically, the content is divided into three interrelated aspects: academic (mind), affection (heart), and action (living or practice).

The Bible is the primary source of content for this program, specifically what it says regarding the believer’s mission for Christ and His Kingdom. While the Bible is the foundational textbook, this program will offer supplemental materials to help highlight what Scripture teaches concerning the life and ministry of Jesus and His commission.

Cost

The program costs vary depending on the length of the track. As shown in the chart below, the cost of the two- or three-year tracks is greater than the four-year track. These expedited tracks are more expensive due to condensing of materials, program guidance, and oversight. However, the advanced track, which adds a little more detail and depth, does not change the costs because it assimilates into the student’s track as well as uses the same materials and resources.

Starting Year Track Cost
9th grade 4 Years $250 per year
10th grade 3 Years $300 per year
11th grade 2 Years $400 per year

Our Approach

We have intentionally laid out the Mission Program to work along with the students’ spiritual development in their other required courses at Enlightium. The requirements have been created to work alongside and support the student's overall spiritual growth. The Mission Program is a furthering of, and focus on, Enlightium’s mission and motto.

The Mission Program wasn’t created to be separate from a students’ other coursework, but as an enriching and furthering of the students’ studies and development as a whole at Enlightium. The Mission Program, like all courses at Enlightium, aims to accomplish the same end: making students wholehearted followers of the risen Lord.

The Mission Program is laid out in a manner such that students shouldn’t feel overwhelmed with the content and deadlines. The goal? Make learning about Christ’s mission enjoyable and to complement other coursework at Enlightium, tending toward a spiritually fruitful experience during their time at the academy.

Three tracks are offered, depending on student start date: four years (9th grade, Standard Track), three years (10th grade) and two years (11th grade). The standard Mission Program’s academic requirements are spread out a month or two apart. The condensed two- and three-year tracks condense the same lessons into a shorter time frame, while still providing ample time for students to focus on other course assignments. This approach helps students to focus on required course work and still enjoy the Mission Program.

The Mission Program’s affections and actions requirements are set up to complement your family schedule; providing a less rigid, more organic and dynamic approach well-suited to a real-life ministry. For example, students can choose when and how often to meet as a family for devotionals. While students are encouraged to regularly and frequently attend church functions, they are required to attend only eight youth groups or other edifying church functions each semester. This provides students with breathing room, especially when nearing the end of a quarter or semester, when life may get busier.

Upon completion of this program, students will have the opportunity to meet other Enlightium students and families as we celebrate the completion of the track at our Family Camp. Students will receive a certificate of completion, which will serve as a reminder of Christ and His mission as well as a reference for future ministry endeavors.

In doing so, he actively makes it a point to know families personally and encourage them in the work God is currently doing now that is pointing us towards the glory that is to come. Jovanny enjoys playing sports and various activities as a way to worship God with his body. He also sees this as a way to engage the lost with an invitation to know Jesus. Jovanny plays basketball, disc golf, likes to fish, and when given the opportunity, he goes hunting for turkeys at the bowling alley.
