Ignitia CTE Introduction to Careers in Education & Training
Introduction to Careers in Education and Training helps students understand the purpose of education and instills within them an appreciation for the skills educators possess. Throughout this semester-long Career and Technical Education (CTE) elective, students in grades 11-12 learn how communication skills, group collaboration, and critical thinking influence learning. Students also study the organizational and group management skills necessary for working with individuals of various ages and cultures. Other topics of study include state-specific professional development requirements and health and safety requirements, as well as legal and ethical issues within and outside education.
Like all CTE courses found within Ignitia, Introduction to Careers in Education and Training teaches employable skills that have real-world relevance. The rigorous, hands-on course content preps students at your Christian school for career and college readiness.
