Heaven and Nature’s Song

When I think of my happy place, the place I can visit in my mind to bring me peace. I imagine the sound of the birds early in the morning. The sweet songs that they would sing. The sound of their wings flapping as they flutter here to there. The call of two bird lovers and the sound of their newly hatched chicks waiting for their parents to feed them. I imagine seeing birds of all colors soaring through the air and building nests to raise their family. The way the sun shines through the trees, casting beams of sunlight on the birds as they sit on the branch of a tree. The blooming wildflowers here and there, coming to life despite any challenges they may face. I imagine the smell of the early morning dew on the ground and the smell of sandalwood and pine as the wind blows.

In my happy place, I imagine that there is a river flowing nearby, and as I follow down the river’s path, I come face to face with the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen. The waterfall speaks to me as if it was alive. The waterfall bounces off of the rocks and flows into the river. I imagine the way the sun shines on the waterfall, glinting silver. The way the waterfall sounds as it drops into the water pit below. The urgency of the water and how it drops so aggressively and yet speaks so calmly. I imagine the sound of the waterfall and how it is nature’s way of laughing, and the sweet song it provides for my listening ears. The pounding sound of the water hitting the bottom, which beats along with my heart. I imagine the fresh smell surrounding the waterfall mixed with the smell of mud. The smell of the dry leaves as they fall off of trees, landing in the water and floating down the river.

I dream that this is what heaven will be like. I dream that there will be beautiful sights to see. I dream that the smells of nature will be a hundred times sweeter than that on earth. I imagine that heaven will provide us with the most wondrous of songs. I dream that nature in heaven will be just as beautiful as it is on earth. I imagine that heaven is my happy place.
