Do You Know Someone Who Needs to Experience What You Have at Enlightium? (Referral Program Guide)
As you experience the differences of schooling with Enlightium Academy compared to your child’s previous school, you may feel the need to celebrate your journey with family and friends. Since you likely share stories with your friends and family about important milestones and events in your child’s life, along with the joys of watching them grow, we would like to empower you with this guide on how to share your educational achievements and the fruit of a sound Christian education through Enlightium. To help you celebrate your story with your friends and family, our Referral Program allows you to gift a tuition credit or Amazon gift card to anyone who enrolls and receive a tuition credit or gift card for your family per referral.
How can you share Enlightium Academy with other families?
Tell your story! Most importantly, share from your heart. Tell them how Enlightium has contributed to your child’s spiritual and academic development. If your friends or family are not eager to hear your story or are not as open to homeschool education, ask them to share their experience in a brick and mortar school. As you listen, compare it with your child’s experience and, without pressure, share how it looks for your child at Enlightium. Do not worry if they are not interested in hearing more. They may remember your experience and ask questions later if their circumstances or outlook changes. Show grace and patience as your friends consider the possibility of homeschooling their children through Enlightium Academy
Besides sharing your story in person, you can create a short selfie video like this one and share it on social media. Follow the link at the end of this article to be guided through this quick and easy process. If you don’t want to record a video, you could write a post on your social media about your experience and engage your friends in this way. You never know who among your friends and acquaintances might be in a situation with their child’s education that feels hopeless to them, and your experience may be just what they need to know that there are alternatives.
Never be afraid of questions!
When friends and family ask about Enlightium, tell them what you know. Write down any questions that you are not sure how to respond to and reach out to the Enlightium team. You can also guide them through Enlightium’s website (www.enlighitumacademy.com) or have them submit a form requesting a call from one of our enrollment consultants to discuss their specific questions. If possible, it is a good idea to navigate the website together. As you recall your child’s experience, share it with them. You can also open some of the Ignitia lessons to show actual course offerings, projects, and assignment questions. All parents want the best for their children, but sometimes they don’t always know what is available to them. You can have them log into a demo student account here.
If they are still not confident, tell them how they can try a course for free at Enlightium
Students who are interested in enrolling either full-time or part-time can sample one of Enlightium’s courses before registering. Families can simply choose an elective course and a Bible course of their choice and try one unit of each for free. A standard full year course has 8-10 units on average. If the student loves the course and decides to finish they can enroll at 10% off and continue where they left off by testing out of the unit in an accredited version of that course.
If the student finds that an online education is what they need based on the flexibility, individual approach, and preparation for college that students receive, they can register full-time and pursue an accredited Enlightium diploma. Various discounts are available at the time of registration, including prepayment, ministry, co-op partnership, multi-student, military/veteran, and a buddy discount (can be combined with referral credits).
Watch me - do what I do!
Be an example for your friends! Building friendships is important, especially if you have children of a similar age as well as similar family values. Your children and your friends’ children can go on field trips and work on science projects or daily work together. They can also participate in social events and attend youth groups together. The Bible encourages parents to invest in their children: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
What’s in it for me?
First, you will receive a tuition credit to your account or an Amazon gift card for each new student that enrolls; please note that the new student simply needs to be enrolled beyond the 14-day trial period. Also, the new student cannot be a sibling of the currently enrolled student. They can, however, be a cousin or friend living in another household. The other family will receive the same tuition credit applied or an Amazon gift card after the trial period.
Second, you are investing in a child’s spiritual development, since Enlightium Academy is a Christ-centered, accredited K–12 online program with instruction based on the Biblical view of God and the world. At Enlightium, students receive a strong Association of Christian School International (ACSI) accredited education and, more importantly, the opportunity to honor God in every part of life.
Third, your relationship with another homeschooling family will benefit the social aspect of your student’s life. They can become part of your homeschooling team that provides support to you and the right kind of social development for the students with balanced social interaction between peers and adults. This would be a great time to take advantage of the buddy program or set up a co-op partnership.
My friend is ready to enroll. What should they do?
Guide your friend to the Enlightium Academy registration page and have them select the grade level and package they desire. On the enrollment form, when answering the question “How did you hear about us?” mark “Referral” and include the referring family’s name.
Can my friend register in the middle of the year?
Absolutely! Enlightium Academy offers open enrollment, which means that your friend can enroll their children at any point in the school year. Dedicated members of the Enlightium admissions team will contact the previous school to obtain records and any other applicable documentation; however, if your friend has a report card of work completed so far in the school year, they can provide it during or after enrolling at Enlightium to help speed up the enrollment process.
When will the referral credit be applied?

Being God’s Ambassador
Thank you for allowing Enlightium Academy to make a difference in students’ minds and hearts. Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.
