Offered to Grades 10-12
This one-semester course is designed to introduce students to the scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings from a biblical, Christian perspective. God has created the human being to be soul and body, and addressing human psychology must take both into account in order to be holistic in nature. This course will treat the subject matter of psychology from this perspective rather than the naturalistic viewpoint found in modern psychology.
Students will become familiar with the various schools of thought in psychology over the past 150 years, the role of the brain, what compels us to act, the nature of emotion, how we learn, and a host of other fascinating and relevant subjects.
