Do Your Research

It is important to note that each state and country has its own requirements for homeschooling. Some states may have specific course requirements or guidelines, while others may only provide general guidance such as “whichever courses are being taken by public school students”. It is crucial to research and understand your state or country's homeschooling laws when enrolling with Enlightium Academy.

The Department of Education in the United States (50 states and Washington D.C.) requires the following core subjects: Language Arts (grammar, reading, spelling), Social Studies, Math, Science, and electives: Fine Arts, Physical Education and Health, and in recent years Technical Education. After you enroll/re-enroll and before your student starts courses at Enlightium Academy, your student’s counselor will send you an email with a recommended course schedule consisting of core courses and, if applicable, courses that fulfill Enlightium’s graduation requirements. Your student can also select from Enlightium’s elective courses.
