While students are learning to be self-disciplined while learning online, parents can keep their students accountable using tools such as Hubstaff and Enlightium’s Parent Portal. Additionally, parents can set up a VPN on their students’ computers to help protect them while they are learning online.

Enjoy the Journey

But don’t forget about having fun! Homeschooling can be extremely rewarding, but it can also become tedious if not handled with balance. If you make learning enjoyable by incorporating interactive activities into each day, then your student is more likely to stay motivated throughout the school year while still absorbing all the necessary material being taught. Consider trying out new things, such as field trips to a local museum or doing creative projects related to what they’re studying, in order to encourage further exploration of the subject matter.
