Enlightium Prep Online: Builder and Inquiry Hub

On Fridays, Enlightium Prep Online students step into one of two project-based tracks: Builder Hub or Inquiry Hub.

The two rotate quarterly, and each quarter keeps students with the same group of grade-level peers. That continuity matters — research consistently identifies it as the piece most lacking in virtual education. Working collaboratively alongside a consistent team helps projects cohere and creates a powerful sense of belonging.

In Builder Hub, students use the Enlightium Creative Process to make things: websites, digital tools, designed objects, and media. In Inquiry Hub, they use the Enlightium Inquiry Process to argue things — investigating a question, taking a position, defending it under pressure, and revising when the evidence demands it.

Neither is an enrichment add-on. This is the part of the week where learning stops being abstract.

In the Online Program, students move through coursework largely in their own weekly rhythm. That's a real advantage for self-motivated students, families juggling unconventional schedules, or parents who want to shape the school day independently.

Enlightium Prep Online retains that flexibility while adding a fixed weekly rhythm. Each core subject — English, math, history, science — gets two live sessions a week: an instructional session and a workshop. Attendance is optional. Skipping isn't penalized, but showing up means live instruction, direct teacher contact, and shared learning with the same classmates every week.

Live Instruction and Workshops

Each core subject in Enlightium Prep Online includes two live sessions per week, each roughly 45 minutes: an Instructional Session and a Workshop.

The Instructional Session covers the week's curriculum directly. Teachers walk through the material, work actual lesson questions in real time, and guide discussion. At the teacher's discretion, students can also earn lesson credit for attendance and participation.

The Workshop is an application, not a lecture: group projects, live science labs, quiz and test review, live practice with IXL, or structured support built around what the class needs that week.

Both programs offer teacher support. Prep Online is where that support happens live, every week, with a teacher and a room full of classmates.

Grading and feedback turn around faster. Office hours run three to four times per week, no appointment needed. In short, a student who needs help has more than one lever — a study hall, a live class, a quick question after a workshop — and teachers carry a full toolkit for providing support. And when a student's progress starts to slip, parents hear from the teacher and are supported in intervening quickly.
