Additionally, taking a gap year can provide an opportunity for students to make financial contributions towards their college tuition, as they may have more flexibility with their finances when they are not enrolled in school full-time.

It’s important to note that taking a gap year should not be seen as an alternative to higher education; it should be viewed as an opportunity to enhance it! Students often use that time to decide what college they would like to apply to, what career they would like to pursue, and what they would like to do with the rest of their lives. A gap year should have a set end date, and the student should have a plan on how to continue their education after the gap year concludes.
