Texas Homeschooling Requirements

Teacher qualifications |
Texas has no teacher requirements. Enlightium instructors are state- and/or ACSI-certified. Additionally, over 40% of instructors have their Masters or Doctorate degree |

Academic calendar requirements |
Texas has no calendar requirements. Enlightium’s school calendar has a standard 180 school year to keep your student on track |

Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL)
Texas students enrolled in Enlightium Academy can take advantage of local sports offerings through the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Enlightium students need to complete the following:
- Be enrolled in Enlightium for at least the previous school year.
- Be enrolled in Enlightium for at least six days of the current school year.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Be enrolled full-time at Enlightium.
Additional notes:
- Your local school district may have additional requirements.
- The student will need to be “in compliance with rules of the State Board of Education”
- They must be on track to graduate; your student’s counselor will inform you if your student is NOT on track to graduate.
- The state might request a report card; Enlightium provides report cards and transcripts throughout the school year.
- Potentially can not be completing four years of high school within three calendar years.
- Cannot be a “super senior”.
- Cannot be a professional athlete.
