About

Our Teachers

Enlightium teachers aim to develop independent and motivated students who can display the necessary skills to self-educate and take initiative in their education. To achieve this end, teachers encourage students to make use of every resource provided to them.

Our teachers genuinely care about the success of each student and reach out to them proactively as they progress through the curriculum. Teachers also leverage technology to provide customized video explanations for commonly asked questions so they can focus on addressing gaps in the students’ knowledge individually and in groups. Each teacher uploads supplementary examples, videos, and explanations to an exclusive digital library which coincides with the lessons and units of the curriculum. Enlightium teachers work with each student individually and communicate directly within the curriculum questions. Depending on the tuition support package selected, phone support is provided as well as a step-by-step demonstration during a screen-sharing session.

At Enlightium, a strong emphasis is placed on a student’s ability to write. Our teachers hold students to a high standard, yet provide the tools needed to succeed. Additionally, students have multiple attempts on certain assignments to achieve a mastery learning. Students are provided with opportunities to receive partial credit on quizzes and alternate tests, if applicable. Projects can also be tailored depending on the students’ needs; video demonstrations may be given if materials are not readily available.

Mr. Anthony Carroll

Teaches AP English Language and Composition

Mr. Carroll received his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literary Studies from Eastern Washington University in 2019. He also holds a TEFL Certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and is ACSI Certified. His favorite areas to teach are writing and literature. He believes that anyone can be a good writer as long as they put in the time and effort into working. One of his goals, as a teacher, is to eliminate writing apprehension; he believes, since writing is such an expressive form of our inner selves, the more we are able to fine tune our abilities, the better we can express our ideas and emotions.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Some of his hobbies include reading, writing, swimming, hiking, camping. Mr. Carroll is very passionate about education and never wants to stop learning.
